ASICS launches its latest brand film, featuring Italian Volleyball player Dragan Travica, designed to inspire sportspeople to make a ‘Journey of Improvement’.
Italian Volleyball player Dragan Travica is the latest athlete to feature in ASICS’ ‘Journey of Improvement’ brand campaign, designed to motivate and inspire sportspeople to achieve their goals.
The 90-second video, filmed at the Palalper sports arena inMonza, Italy, follows Travica and his Italian teammates in a friendly match against Serbia.
The digital campaign opens with an inspirational quote which aptly conveys Travica’s approach to his sport: “I am made of honesty not excuses.”
The theme of the sixth installation in the ‘Journey of Improvement’ brand campaign is teamwork and the video emphasises the importance of trust and honesty as key ingredients to building a successful team.
The ‘Journey of Improvement’ campaign encourages everyday athletes to ‘better their best’ and improve their personal performance. Each film was focused on a different area of improvement.
Throughout the video Travica discusses his desire to improve his performance as he narrates:“I want to improve everyday; this is the only way I can achieve my goals and do the best for my team. After every training session and match, win or lose, you need to ask yourself if you gave your best and be brutally honest with your answer. Failures are inevitable and we must learn from them, only through failure can you really understand what you need to do to improve and win.”
The below the line campaign will be delivered across social media platforms and hosted on the brand’s YouTube channel. Alongside this, ASICS has developed a motivational Facebook app to link to the existing online training tool, MY ASICS, creating a fully integrated, inspirational concept.
