– Affidea Ireland is the proud title sponsor of the team
Relentless, a team of four Irish rowers who will race across the Atlantic Ocean competing in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge, are hosting a going away party this Friday, 24th November at the Sextant Bar, Alberts Quay, Cork from 7pm. This is the last chance to meet the team before they set-off on the 5,500-kilometre rowing challenge, and also make a donation to Cork University Hospital Children’s Unit through the CUH Charity.
The team, who are sponsored by Affidea Ireland, a leading independent provider of diagnostic imaging services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, DXA and X-ray, have raised up to€12,500 to date and are targeting €20,000. All proceeds go directly to CUH’s Children’s Unit.
The rowers Seán Underwood, Eoin O’Farrell, Patrick O’Connor, and Thomas Browne fly out to La Gomera in the Canary Islands on November 29th. They will be reunited with their race boat, Saoirse to make final preparations. On Tuesday, 12th December, the Relentless crew will begin their race journey from Sebastien La Gomera.
