Autumn is all about letting go and reaping the benefits of what you have sown over the summer months. Kirsty Gallagher an international yogi and one of the UK’s top yoga teachers shares with us her thoughts on her favourite season and how you can embrace the changes around you for the good.
Stay Balanced: As the nights and days draw in we are close to welcoming the autumn equinox where the day and the night are of equal length. This is a nudge for us to see how balanced our lives are and whether we are BEing more than we are DOing. If you find you are out of kilter gently make some adjustments to find more balance in your life. Don’t take on more than you can handle and put your needs first as much as you can.
Let It Go: Just as the trees lose their leaves, this is the ideal time to let go of anything that is holding you back- people, situations, fears and negative beliefs. Let go and trust that where you are headed is the right place to be and be bold and confident in your actions and thoughts.
Set Some Goals: With any change in season, this signals a new beginning and a time for growth. As the autumn equinox approaches why not set a few simple intentions for the next three months and see where they take you. It’s always a fun journey to go on!
Nourish Your Body: Autumn is the perfect time to start nourishing your body with some delicious warm foods helping you stay energised and preparing you energetically for the cold months ahead. Try spicing some of your favourite dishes up with ginger, turmeric and cinnamon to give your digestive system a boost and keep you fired up for the season.
