- DNA TEST WILL REVEAL HOW YOUR BODY RESPONDS TO EXERCISE, FOOD AND DRINK
- NUTRIFIX LAUNCH PREMIUM APP ALLOWING USERS TO TAILOR HIGH STREET FOOD CHOICES TO THEIR GENETIC MAKE-UP
Nutrifix – the nutritional app that helps people find healthy food nearby, personalised to their dietary needs – has partnered with Australian genetic interpretation company myDNA.
myDNA advises an ideal macronutrient breakdown for your genes, allowing Nutrifix users to tailor Nutrifix recommendations to their genes.
The partnership comes as Nutrifix launch a premium version of the app, which will allow users to receive access to full menus, build their own ‘quick picks’ and customise their macronutrient recommendations according to their DNA.
Anybody who buys the premium version of the Nutrifix app will also receive an exclusive link to buy the myDNA Wellness & Nutrition test with £20 off. With a simple mouth swab, the DNA test will provide detailed and personalised insight into our body’s genetic make-up and a personalised plan to assist with the right food and exercise choices, allowing Nutrifix users to tailor Nutrifix recommendations to their genes.
Joel Burgess, Nutrifix Founder & CEO comments: “Nutrifix was designed to help our users find places close by that offer meals suited to their dietary needs, but now as a result of our partnership with myDNA we’re taking personalisation to another level.
“We know that everyone’s different, and discovering you have one of the ‘less favourable’ gene variants is actually a really good thing. Thanks to our friends at myDNA, we can take the test and personalise meal recommendations on our app according to the most basic building blocks of our body.”
Elliott Coyne from myDNA Life Europe comments: “Understanding more about how our genetics can affect our body size, weight and overall fitness is an important factor in personalising our health and lifestyle decisions. Our mission at myDNA is to provide people with actionable advice based on their DNA. Our partnership with Nutrifix allows people to incorporate their results into their everyday meal choices.”
Not only does the Nutrifix app provide detailed nutritional information of thousands of meals from the nation’s favourite high street chains and the best independents, users can also choose to follow the in-app map, or swipe left to have food delivered by Deliveroo.
Nutrifix now has over 7,000 users and has acquired data for almost 5,000 meals from over 12,000 locations and 130 vendors.
Nutrifix.co also hosts a wealth of regular blog posts with health hints and tips for busy people.
Nutrifix Premium will officially launch on August 20th 2018 and will cost from as little as £2.24 per month.
The myDNA Wellness & Nutrition kit will be avaliable exclusively to Nutrifix Premium customers at a price of £69, which includes a £20 discount and delivery.
