The penultimate event of Mental Health Awareness week in Ireland, in partnership with Laya Healthcare, will be the Inaugural Mental Health and Wellbeing Summit taking place this Friday, 14th October in the AVIVA stadium.
Speakers from all sectors of Mental Health from across the country will be participating. Some of the well known names speaking include Brent Pope, Bressie, Prof Jim Lucey, Dr Terry Lynch and Jim Breen, Founder of Cycle Against Suicide.
But equally important are the Personal Experience speakers who will be sharing their own stories including participants from Bressie’s Ironmind Challenge, Mark Foley, Jade Hoynes and Orla Connolly.
The Summit will cover a wide range of topics from Recognising symptoms of depression to Nutrition and Fitness to Coping in the work place. There will also be a variety of workshops to attend covering subjects from Friends & Family Support to Yoga and Relaxation therapies. A number of support services and products will also be on display in the exhibitor area.
The objective of the Summit is to open the doors on mental health and make as much information and education available to as many people as possible for one day during Mental Health Awareness week.
The Summit has had an enormous positive reaction to date with waiting lists of speakers and exhibitors in place.
Some tickets are still available – attendees can decide which parts of the day are most relevant to them to attend and come and go as they wish. Lunch and coffee are included in ticket price.
