Cycle 200km from Dublin to Galway, 29th July

In aid of the Irish Heart Foundation

Champion jockey Nina Carberry swapped horsepower for pedal power to join An Taoiseach Mr Enda Kenny at the launch of the new Paddy Power Race to the Races 200km cyclechallenge in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation starting on 29 July.

They were joined by Paddy Power and activity events co-ordinator with the Irish Heart Foundation Grainne Kennedy. A keen cyclist, An Taoiseach put his ‘spoke’ in to encourage participants to join the Dublin to Galway Races event for a one-day or two-day cycle by signing up to www.irishheart.ie/race2theraces .

Also joining him for some wheelie good fun was bookmaker spokesman Paddy Power and activity events co-ordinator with the Irish Heart Foundation Grainne Kennedy.

Brand new on the Irish Heart Foundation calendar, the unique 200km cycle challenge takes place in just over two weeks with the option of a one-day cycle on 30th July or two-day cycle starting on 29th July with an overnight stay in Athlone. Both options include a fully supported cycle organised by 2Wheels, baggage and bike transfers, massage on arrival and race ticket entry to the Galway Races.

Fundraising targets start from €290 and money raised goes to provide vital patient information and support to thousands of heart and stroke patients nationwide. Sign up now on www.irishheart.ie/race2theraces or call Grainne on 01-6685001.
