Kieran McCarthy was awarded the Lord Mayor’s Medal by Dublins Lord Mayor Críona Ní Dhálaigh, at the beginning of the 36th SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon. Kieran received this award in recognition of his fundraising efforts for TLC4CF and Clare Crusaders Clinic as they have supported his family over the last five years since his Aoibheann (7) was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. As part of the Team Aoibheann Challenge, Kieran cycled 200km from Dublin to Shannon on Sunday, swam 10km that morning and cycled 200km back to Dublin before taking part in the Dublin Marathon this morning. Kieran was nominated for this years Medal by his wife Sinead and his daughter Aoibheann and is photograpohed with Oisín, 2, and race director Jim Aughney before the start.
