The Mayo Great Western Greenway Challenge will take place on Saturday March 29th 2014. The challenge will be to complete the 26 mile / 42km world famous Great Western Greenway – a picturesque off-road walk/cycle trail which traverses Ireland’s idyllic Atlantic coast.
The aim for this year’s challenge is to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis which is Ireland’s most life-threatening inherited disease. It affects primarily the lungs and digestive systems, inevitably leading to malnutrition, constant chest infections and a reduced life expectancy. Participants will experience dramatic views of Clew Bay, spectacular mountain ranges and pass through quaint, picturesque villages along the way.
