Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Walking Festival Saturday March 22nd-Sunday March 23rd 2014

The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Walking Festival will take place over the weekend of the 22nd/23rd March 2014. The event is beiing held in association with CROI the organisation Fighting Heart Disease and Stroke.

This walking event takes place between the 22 – 23rd March 2014 in association with CROI the organisation Fighting Heart Disease and Stroke.  Love your heart and be active!

The Walk leads over the wild mysterious Mayo Landscape.  The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Walking Festival programme includes two great days of guided moderate to hard walks.

Individuals walkers and groups clubs are welcome.  Complementary refreshments will be provided as well as a courtesy bus.

There are aslo excellent accommodation options available.

Route & Distance:

Saturday 22nd March – Balla to Killavally (27 km). Registration 9.30am in Balla Community Centre. Meeting point is the car park in front of Killavally Community Centre at 9am sharp (everyone will be transported to the starting point in Balla).

Sunday 23rd March – Aghagower to Murrisk (19 km). Registration 9.30am in Aghagower Community Centre. Meeting point is the car park at the base of Croagh Patrick (Murrisk) at 9am sharp (everyone will be transported to the starting point in Aghagower).

Family Friendly Loop Walk on Sunday 23rd March Murrisk Loop Walk

Start Time – 2.00pm

Meeting point – Murrisk Community Centre (in Murrisk Car Park at foot of Reek)

Distance: 6 km/ 2 hours

Refreshments provided each day.

Transport will be provided each morning to ferry walkers from the Meeting point to the Starting point. This means that your personal transport will be at the end of your destination on arrival each day. For more details call Mairead/Pat on 094 9360891 or email info@croaghpatrickheritagetrail.com.

Saturday Evening Dinner/Entertainment for Festival Walkers 

3 Course Evening Meal for Festival Walkers 25 euro Per Person @ 7.30pm Saturday 22nd March Temptations Restaurant, Mill Times Hotel, Westport. Music in hotel bar after. For booking contact Mairead at info@croaghpatrickheritagetrail.com
