Bray 10km April 5th

This trail running event will see you make your way back to Bray from Greystones via the cliff
trail.
You will start the run at the far end of Greystones beach, make your way along the shore line
to the Cliff where you will follow the train lines back to Bray while experiencing the stunning
and dramatic views along the steep cliffs into the Irish sea.
You will cover a number of terrains including the beach, footpaths and the firm rough track
along the cliff.
The course is approximately 10km and will finish at the Band Stand just off Bray Promenade.

Connemara Adventure Challenge May 10th

The Connemara Adventure Challenge is unique in that you will not be competing or(confusing
yourself!) with those doing a longer version of the race as there is only one distance.
Magical scenery in unspoilt, dramatic valleys, forests and harbours. An incredible setting that
just has it all for adventure racing.
Superb natural terrain including bogland, hill, rough track and sealed (Connemara) roads as
well as the deep green waters of Killary Fjord.
Killer after-party
Groovy music, dancing, swapping stories and a well-earned beer – all this we promise you in
our legendary after-party at K2 (Killary Adventure Centre).
Perfect training race or introductory race
32.5 km is perfect for the elite athlete to test their training and for the first-timer it will be a
manageable challenge that will allow them to taste the pure joy of pushing and succeeding.

Gaelforce North June 28th

Start with the sprint and progress to the full course if you are new to adventure racing. For the
experienced competitor the longer option will provide you with a peak to your training season.
The terrain varies so that the mind will never wander from its purpose – rough tracks, open
roads, hillsides, forestry ways and sand dunes will all come into your path.
These are but a few of the highlights of this carefully selected course which will test and
delight you.
A magnificent route through remotest Donegal taking in deep valleys of Glenveagh, forestry
tracks, white sand beaches and vast open spaces.

Womens Adventure Race July 26th

We are the Gaelforce women and we have designed this race for us and for you. It is for
women only and celebrates fit, healthy, determined, enthusiastic and wonderful women
just like us and just like you. It is Ireland’s first Women’s Adventure Race. It is the perfect
distance (27km), the perfect combination and the perfect challenge to test you and to give
you that feeling of pure triumph when you reach the finishline. 2013 was its first year and it
was a phenomenal success, so step forward again in 2014 and enjoy another fantastic day
out with the girls!

Gaelforce West August 16th

The original and still the best
This has always been the one to conquer and to master. It is challenging, unique and the
magnificent landscape through which you travel will wow you at every turn.
67km course spanning two counties
The route takes you from Glassilaun beach in Co Galway to the heritage town of Westport,
Co Mayo.
Trail/mountain running or walking; cycling and kayaking
The terrain includes mountain scree, bogland, trails, sealed roads and the majestic waters of
Killary Fjord.
Connemara, Killary Fjord, Croagh Patrick and Westport
These are only some of the highlights of a route that provides a combination of natural
challenges and breathtaking views that will test and delight you, regardless of your fitness
level or your focus.

The Great Fjord Swim 12th Oct

Swim Ireland’s only fjord in the deep, clean waters of the Atlantic ocean. Choose from 2
distances – 750m or 2km.
It is a truly unique event and will be an experience to rival none. This area of outstanding

Turf Warrior 1st Nov
Turf Warrior is the obstacle course challenge that is packed full of adventure, mud, climbing,
swinging, leaps into the Atlantic and all kinds of other mayhem and madness.
Free entry to the themed party at Killary Adventure Company is included for all warriors, so
you can get together for a well earned drink, swap stories and re-live the ups and downs of
a day on the battlefield after you have scrubbed the mud from your ears, eyes and every
other body part!
