ASICS Announces New Two-year Partnership With SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon

True sport performance brand ASICS, has today announced a two-year partnership with SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, one of Europe’s most popular marathons.

 

The two-year partnership enables ASICS to expand its Marathon portfolio, which already includes New York, L.A, Tokyo, Paris, Barcelona, Belfast and Greater Manchester marathons.

 

The 36th edition of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is sure to be better than ever with support from ASICS.

 

ASICS will be the official sportswear partner for the 2015 and 2016 SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon. Held over the Irish Bank Holiday weekend of 25th and 26th October, ASICS will provide the official merchandise for the Marathon and will offer unique participant training tips and advice helping runners accomplish their desired results.

 

To help train for this historic and distinctive event, SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon includes a running series which will lead up to the main event. See below;

  • Irish Runner  5 miler  –  27th June at Phoenix Park, Dublin
  • Fingal 10K  –  19th July at Main Street, Dublin Road
  • Frank Duffy 10M – 22nd August Phoenix Park, Dublin
  • Dublin Half Marathon – 19th September at Phoenix Park, Dublin
  • SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon- 26th October at Dublin City Centre

ASICS is a brand that understands the needs of runners, so it will be implementing two technologies into the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon to help runners achieve their goals. Pace Your Race, is a personalised wristband that each runner can receive prior to the event, which will allow runners to track their time per mile and enable friends and family to locate them on the route.

 

ASICS has also arranged filming of the marathon and will capture every runner at different positions on the course, giving runners the chance to relive their most memorable moments through a free online film. Further details will be shared on the event website.

 

The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is a leading autumn marathon event with a great atmosphere and in its 36th year it illustrates that its popularity is still growing.
