Grenade® explodes into Dublin as part of its Snacking Revolution campaign

This April, Grenade®, leading nutrition manufacturer, explodes in in the city with a sampling event set to break the healthier eating mould.

From 11am to 5pm on Saturday 27 April, Dublin folks are invited to join Grenade® at Dundrum Town Centre and embark on its powerful Snacking Revolution journey, aimed to turn healthier eating habits and thoughts totally on their head.

Snacking is a major market within Ireland and valued at €3.38 billion in 2016, with an estimated growth of 5% to €3.58bn by 2021*, however, an increasing number of shoppers (90%**) worry about what they eat and want great tasting snacks without the guilt of traditional indulgent products.

In a bid to help redefine the healthy eating mindset in Ireland, Grenade® is spearheading a new way of thinking and sampling its Carb Killa® bars to Dublin locals with a healthier range of flavour-packed treats that will challenge perception of what nutritious foods could taste like.

“We’re made to believe that looking after our bodies means a compromise on taste and having to revert to ‘cardboard’ food. But this couldn’t be further from the truth – healthy eating, particularly snacking, can be tasty. The main issue is knowing what’s better than the normal ‘go to’ chocolate bar of choice or the tasteless alternatives on the market,” explains Alan Barratt, founder and CEO of Grenade®.

Today’s new breed of consumers are also becoming more informed about their food choices as a result of being able to tap into a wealth of healthy eating-related information online.

Alan adds: “Healthy no longer has to mean boring and, more importantly, people shouldn’t fall into the trap of thinking they’re eating healthy snacks, only to find that they’re packed full of hidden sugars.

“It’s important manufacturers and brands respond to consumer demand for healthier options that use less sugar or even sugar alternatives, as well as boost the nutritional value of their products by adding protein. In addition, people’s lifestyles are now much busier and there’s a high demand for healthier snacking products that keep them fuller for longer whilst providing optimum nutrition.”

Thanks to Grenade®, consumers can ‘banish the bland’ with its impressive range of shakes, spreads and bars. Low in sugar and high in protein, Carb Killa® bars are available in a range of punchy and memorable flavours, such as the two new flavours, Dark Chocolate Raspberry and White Chocolate Salted Peanut, as well as the impressive Cookies and Cream, Peanut Nutter™ and the Birthday Cake additions.
