Penguin is delighted to announce the acquisition and reveal the cover of No Fuss Vegan, by bestselling cookery author Roz Purcell. You can pre-order here.
No Fuss Vegan is Roz Purcell’s first wholly plant-based cookbook, packed with over 100 deliciously satisfying vegan recipes. Roz is a firm believer that your body needs to be fuelled well — not only to power you through your day or week, but to set you up for life. In No Fuss Vegan, Roz will show you how to introduce more plant- based recipes into your life — Roz has designed this book for busy people who want to eat more vegetables.
No Fuss Vegan is Roz Purcell’s third cookbook. Her first, Natural Born Feeder, was published in 2016, followed by Half Hour Hero in 2017. Both were nominated for Cookbook of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. A country girl from Tipperary, Roz first came to prominence when she won Miss Universe Ireland, but it wasn’t until she quit modelling and launched her hugely popular food blog, Natural Born Feeder, that her career in recipe creation took off. Last year the launch of her podcast, Bite Back, established her as a huge voice in the body positivity movement. She reaches over 650k followers across her social media platforms with healthy recipes, tips on how to create a happy relationship with your body and much more. Her Hike Life programme has been a huge success, offering open hiking events around the country to the public. Her childhood on her parents’ farm — surrounded by nature and forever in the kitchen with her grandmother, cooking with local ingredients — still underpins her approach to her health: cooking delicious food that is good for you has never been a chore; it’s just a way of life.
Claire Pelly, Editor at Penguin, says: ‘We are thrilled to be publishing Roz Purcell’s new cookbook, No Fuss Vegan. With the surge in interest in vegan cooking, this book will be ideal for those looking to introduce simple and delicious plant-based recipes into their daily lives.’
Roz Purcell says:
‘I can’t believe I’m on my third cook and this one is by far my favourite. My cookbooks have always reflected how I eat, and this one is wholly plant-based. We all know how to cook with meat, chicken, fish and eggs so I wanted to create a book that championed easy and accessible vegetable-based meals for everyone. The book offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and dessert recipes that veggies and everyday meat-eaters will love. My favourites include corn fritters, homemade vegan black pudding, sausage rolls, shortbread, miso aubergine and no-fuss tangine.’
Madeleine Shaw says:
The single best thing you can do for your health and the planet is to eat more plants. No Fuss Vegan is packed full of enticing recipes to make plant based your way of life.
