The Harley Medical Group launches Sculptra, the latest volumising treatment-
In response to the latest celebrity trend for baby smooth, plumper faces, inspired by celebrities such as Madonna and Kylie, The Harley Medical Group has just launched Sculptra in its Dublin clinic. Sculptra, a highly innovative non-invasive procedure, combats the signs of aging, filling out the larger wrinkles and facial folds while stimulating new collagen production to create younger, fuller skin. The Harley Medical Group anticipates that it will be the fastest-growing non-surgical treatment to hit Ireland in recent years.
Given Ireland’s unpredictable climate, shifting from bitter cold to wind and rain and even to the odd heat wave, it is no surprise our skin suffers being constantly exposed to such extremities. A further unavoidable assault on our skin is down to the increasing levels of pollution in the country. When all of this is taken into account as well as the emotional effects of stress, fatigue and hormonal swings amongst others, it would be safe to say our skin is subject to a considerable battering on a daily basis!
Sculptra is different to other injectable products like Botox or collagen, as it works gradually to give a natural effect. It is injected into the tissue below the skin and is then molded to the skin to add natural looking volume. Clinical studies have shown that the results of Sculptra can last for up to 2 years after your last treatment, significantly longer than many other injectable treatments. The main ingredient of Sculptra (Poly-L-lactic) has been used in medicine for over 25 years and has an excellent safety profile. What’s more, the recovery period is usually only a matter of hours, after which any signs of redness or swelling usually go away and most patients feel comfortable returning to their normal activities immediately.
Liz Dale, Director of The Harley Medical Group comments: “There has been an incredible surge in demand for non-invasive anti-ageing treatments at our Dublin clinic over the past five years; it is definitely on a par with the UK! We really are delighted to be able to now offer our patients the Sculptra treatment in Ireland, which has been a huge success on a global scale.”
The Harley Medical Group has seen a dramatic rise in the number of people opting for the non-surgical treatment options aimed at turning back the clock. Sculptra, being one of the latest procedures to become available at its cosmetic surgery clinics, is proven to stimulate the body’s own collagen to smooth out lines and wrinkles and restore lost facial volume. The result is a fuller, younger-looking face, without the need to go under the knife!
