Ireland’s Only “Mental Health And Wellbeing Summit” Is Shortlisted For Best Conference!!

June 2, 2017 by admin

Ireland’s only “Mental Health and Wellbeing Summit” was shortlisted yesterday for BEST CONFERENCE at this year’s Event Industry Awards!

Not only is this an amazing achievement for a brand new event, but it is a fantastic leap and endorsement for Mental Health to be recognized in this mainstream industry.

Dearbhla Meaney, MD of White Diamond Events, the event organisers said…”we’re absolutely delighted that the Summit has been shortlisted in this category. We set out with this Summit to try make Mental Health education, information and support services as mainstream and as accessible to as many people as possible and this kind of recognition, just endorses that.”

This year’s summit sees another jamb-packed schedule covering a wide range of topics from Mental Health in the Workplace to Support for Family and friends, Understanding Addiction to Recognising symptoms of Depression and Suicide.

The Line up of speakers includes Brent Pope, Leinster Rugby Captain Isa Nacaewa, Mental health advocate and personal Speaker, Majella O’Donnell, wife of Daniel.  Not to mention the professionals:  Prof Jim Lucey, Dr Harry Barry, David J Carey and all the way from LA, Dan Griffin, Senior Fellow with The Meadows who has worked in Mental Health and Addiction for over 20 years and has been in long term recovery himself for over 25 years.

The objective of the event again this year is to make Mental Health support services and products available to everyone, so the Summit is open to every sector to attend.

The event takes place during Mental Health Awareness week, on 13th October at the AVIVA Stadium.
