The countdown is on to one of the first long distance runs of 2017. The Bewley’s 10 Mile Road Race will take place in Trim on Sunday 5th February 2017 at 12 noon.
Over 1,000 walkers, joggers and runners are expected to take part in the looped race, which is run in association with Trim Athletic Club. The course takes in the beautiful scenic surrounds of the Meath countryside, with many fast and flat roads.
Mark Saunders, Brand Director with Bewley’s said “With many of the marathon series races not starting until later in the year, the Bewley’s 10 Mile Road Race is the perfect opportunity for those who’ve been training throughout the winter to see what they’re made of. It’s also a great chance for those looking to get fit and healthy in 2017 to get out for their first walk, jog or run”.
“We are delighted to be supporting the race for the third year. As an Irish company, it’s important that we support healthy initiatives in our local community. Last year, a record 850 people took part and we are anticipating this number to increase further this year. I would encourage all those thinking about taking part to register for what is a really fantastic event. We look forward to rewarding their efforts with a warm cup of Bewley’s tea or coffee when the cross the finish line.”
The route will have water stations at the 4th and 7th mile mark, with a Bewley’s goodie bag waiting for finishers at the finish line.
You can register online on www.trimac.ie . Online registration for the race is €22, which includes a race t-shirt.
