Buggy Bootcamp is a fun way for mums, dads and childminders to improve fitness, whilst sharing time with babies and toddlers aged from 6 weeks. Máire Eilis Ní Fhlatharta who plays Caitríona Ní Loideáin in Ros Na Rún is looking forward to joining the September classes in Spiddal, run by Spiddal local Christine Cox (www.christinecoxfitness.com).
“I love the fact that these classes are mainly held outdoor as well as being able to bring my little girl along, I’ve attended a few of Christine’s other classes and her motivation and passion is certainly contagious – I’m going back for more” Máire Eilis Ni Fhlatharta
Classes will be taught in both Irish and English.
Each Tuesday between 9.15am and 10.15am and Saturday between 10.00am and 11.00am, qualified fitness instructor Christine Cox will inspire and encourage people in an innovative way, in the beautiful setting of Spiddal. Registration will take place on Tuesday 3rd of September at 9.00am at Scoil Mhuire. Class sizes are kept small for participant comfort.
Christine Cox, trainer comments “This is a great way to ensure that new mums and dads are not left at home feeling isolated, and it’s brilliant for the little ones to inhale the fresh sea air of Spiddal. If the weather does not permit we can move indoors to a spacious hall.”
It’s possible for everyone to work at their own pace, the class is fun and includes power walking/jogging and interval strength and body toning exercises using resistance bands, buggy and the environment. Participants only need a comfortable outfit, shoes such as trainers and a bottle of water – and of course a buggy.
