Cliona’s Foundation Cycle club along with Leanne Moore launched their new cycling gear which they will use at all events to promote their association with Cliona’s Foundation. At the launch on the 5th of July in Limerick the group presented their honorary member Leanne Moore with her own set of gear.
“Due to huge interest and growth in the club over the last 18 months we decided to redesigned and improve our club gear, with the support of our sponsors all our members are now kitted out with the new gear. We are extremely proud to be supporting Cliona’s Foundation while we are out on our bikes taking part in events all over the country” – Club Member Trevor Daly.
The cycling gear for the club was very kindly sponsored by Lifes2Good, Martin Hartnett Builders Ltd, Abercorn Construction Ltd, DPACK Packaging Ltd., Emo Oil and Cube Printing Ltd. All of the sponsors attended the launch and expressed their delight at being able to help out the foundation and cycling club.
The club also wished to express their gratitude to Spin 11 who supplied the cycling gear for them and to Maria Connaughton for all of her wonderful help and advice.
At the launch the group also took the opportunity to announce the date of their 7th annual Cliona’s Foundation Cycle which will take place this year on Saturday August 30th. The cycle will be starting from the Honeyfitz Theatre in Lough Gur, just 20km from Limerick city.
With three routes including a 10km for family and funsters, the organisers have appealed to experienced cyclists with a challenging 90km route and a 40km less arduous route for leisure cyclists. Following the cycle there’s a BBQ, face painting, music and a bouncy castle to keep the entire family entertained.
So popular is cycling that Cliona’s Foundation has founded its own cycling club which is affiliated to Cycling Ireland and is gaining new members each week. This years’ cycle is expected to attract large numbers taking to their bikes on the day in support of the Foundation.
At the launch in Limerick last weekend Leanne Moore who has recently added her name to Cliona’s Foundation as an Ambassador ‘I’ve always admired Brendan and Terry Ring and was only too happy to support this fun fundraiser. I’ve been very lucky in life and now would like to give something back to help others.
