Are you as Fit as you think you are?
With 2 out of 3 Irish adults overweight and obesity linked to heart disease, diabetes and cancer*, it was not surprising that 55% of people wanted to lose weight. 72% of people we spoke to wanted to improve their fitness levels, while 67% trained at least twice a week.
Life Style Sports Bootcamp Ireland are taking it a step further and asking people to put themselves and their bodies to the test in their Fitness League. Their Instructors and fitness professionals have devised the perfect event for you to be challenged and test your all round fitness.
The Fitness League evening tests all the components of fitness and will be a session of sweat and education! You will be challenged, but most importantly, you will see how fit you are in comparison to industry averages. The Life Style Sports Bootcamp Ireland experts will be on hand to talk to you and answer questions about how you can work on different areas of fitness that you wish to improve.
Lorraine Ho, Managing Director of Life Style Sports Bootcamp Ireland said ‘It’s a brilliant way to get back on the fitness wagon again if you have fallen off, you can set yourselves attainable goals by attending any of the Fitness Leagues Nationwide, and then again in early 2013. The Fitness League can be compared to a race. Think of a heptathlon and the way the scoring builds in that, you will accumulate points throughout the tests. At the end of the event, your points will be added and we will have a leaderboard..for those who are less competitive it’s a great way of finding out where your fitness lies.’
To make it interesting we will be compiling all the results from The Fitness Leagues in Dublin, Meath, Kerry, Clare and Limerick to see which is the fittest county!Everyone’s strength lies in different areas, as we are testing all components of fitness it’s not necessarily the fastest runner that will be top of the table… don’t underestimate YOUR fitness!
