The intellectual property behind Natural Hero, a range of natural skincare recovery products endorsed by Team GB athletes such as ski star Emily Sarsfield and father and son triathlon duo David and Nick Browning, is coming onto the market.
The sale, which will stir up interest in the sports and natural lifestyle sectors, is being led by Metis Partners, the Glasgow-based, internationally operating intellectual property (IP) specialist.
The company is marketing the IP assets of Natural Hero on the instruction of Greg Whitehead of Northpoint, who is conducting the liquidation of the company which was experiencing cash issues.
Natural Hero, which had established a strong reputation since it was established four years ago, offered active people natural products for their sports preparation, training and recovery. Other Team GB members who acted as brand ambassadors for it included Liz King, Joey Sharma and Sean Conway.
Its products are stocked by major retailers such as Holland & Barrett, Amazon, Sweatshop, Snow+Rock, Planet Organic and Wholefood Market. Natural Hero established a retail network of 400 stores.
Metis’s participation in the sale process will reinforce its reputation for the successful sale of retail brands such as Internacionale and Ortak as well as healthcare and ethical concerns such as Breastlight, Pharmacy Plus, and The Spark, the UK’s biggest and most established ethical quarterly.

Natural Hero branded Hot Ginger Muscle Rub, Freeze and Ease Sports Spray and Hot Ginger Muscle Soak comprise a preparation, training and recovery regime to combat muscle fatigue and condition the skin.
Free from parabens, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulphates and synthetic fragrances, the products are made with natural ingredients sourced from carefully selected suppliers. Assets in the Natural Hero sale include the brand and reputation, product formulations, trademarks, organisational knowledge and the website content and domain names.
