The town of Gorey, County Wexford will become the centre of the Complementary Therapy world on December 5th as it plays host to the National Complementary Therapies Exhibition. This event will bring an amazing burst of well being as therapists from all over the island come to the Ashdown Park Hotel in the small Wexford Town.
The National Complementary Therapy exhibition is the brain child of Wicklow Native Helena Maher. Helena herself practices Reiki and is well known for using her Reiki and meditation skills to help people with chronic pain, stress and other ailments.
Speaking about the event organiser Helena Maher said “Complementary Therapies have become a normal part of Irish culture. People frequently use the skills of Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Reiki Masters and Health shops to improve their well being and health. It makes sense to bring them to one place so the general public can make a more informed choice as to who or what treatment is right for them”
She decided earlier this year to help bring other disciplines such as Acupuncture, Thai Massage, Yoga, Reflexology, Reiki and many more under one roof. The idea grew into The National Complementary Therapies Exhibition. Practitioners from all over the country have been contacting Helena to part take in this inaugural event in huge numbers. The general public are invited to attend and speak to masters in many disciplines about their many ailments and get expert advice to help them with their well being.
Maher further commented that “With all the doom and gloom around at the moment it is more important now than ever that people take care of themselves. Complementary therapies are a very natural way to supplement the advice of your GP. Many people have quit smoking, eased back pain, cured stress and lots of other everyday problems with the help of complementary therapies.”
A large turnout is expected to arrive at the Ashdown Park for this event and people are warned to expect a pleasant journey to Gorey and great family day in beautiful surroundings. What’s more this is a free event and that’s great news alone in the current environment. There are not many events that a few hours can be spent getting great advice and seeing the very best in any field without having to put your hand in your pocket.
Helena Maher and Co. have been helping people since 2008. Hailing from county Wicklow she has worked with Private individuals, Corporate clients and State bodies such as FÁS.
