How many times have you been out on a training session and ended up all covered in mud? Ever wipe the sweat from your face and give your nose a good blow? Nothing out of the ordinary. Perhaps this has then followed with a nip into a café for a ‘toilet stop’ and mid-training caffeine fix? A familiar scenario for many of us.
Unfortunately the truth is that sport can easily become quite unhealthy by nature, and we can find ourselves neglecting very basic hygiene routines pretty quickly. This causes germs, germs result in illness and illness can zap your training session before you’ve even made it out of the door.
Luckily, to combat germs and subsequent illness a new Secret Training range has been launched (www.secret-training.cc). The Secret Training ‘Strip’ personal care range is designed especially for sportspeople, and the high-quality and portable products are intended to be with you from ‘warm up to clean-up’, helping to invigorate, protect, calm, sanitize and nourish.
The ‘Strip’ range includes sunscreen, anti-friction cream, hand sanitizer and post-race wash amongst others; and each product has been specially designed to answer a real need, produced with essential ingredients to ensure that they are fully fit for purpose.
The Secret Training range has been developed and produced by European Champion Track Cyclist, Tim Lawson, Tim has over twenty years experience in the sports industry; as founder of top nutrition brand Science in Sport (SiS) and also through his time spent working with athletes of all levels; from complete beginners right through to Olympic medalists and Pro Tour winners.
Tim is really excited about launching his new venture and says, ‘I came up with the idea for Secret Training many years ago, and have spent a great deal of time developing it from concept through to reality. I train in the North West of England where there’s more rainfall than anywhere else in the UK, and I find myself out in the most extreme conditions. Whether it’s the cross winds of Winter Hill or further afield in the blistering heat of Mount Teide, I have long wanted access to a range of quality, trustworthy and dependable products, that worked wherever and whenever.”
Tim decided he wanted to produce something that would really set him apart on the market and make the range quite different from anything else available. He says, “having read the lengthy and often scary ingredients list on a variety of oil and rub product labels, it was clear there was scope to create better formulas and work towards a fully, ‘informed sport’ brand. Made for athletes, by athletes. We want to become a part of an athlete’s daily training and racing regime helping them to perform at their optimum and enjoy good health and fitness.’
The Secret Training ‘Strip’ range is available on the website (www.secret-training.cc ) or through selected retailers.
