Saturday 13th April sees the brand new supertri E World Triathlon Championship, powered by Zwift, take to London’s Aquatics Centre for a dose of next generation, thrilling e-sport, family entertainment. The Men’s and Women’s World Champions will be crowned at this one-day, action packed swim-bike-run race meet. Ahead of Paris 2024, this is your front row ticket to witness Olympians in action – Britain’s triple Olympic medalist Jonny Brownlee and GB’s most successful female triathlete, Georgia Taylor-Brown, to name just two!
Fusing real-life and virtual racing to create a super immersive experience for both spectators and competitors, supertri E athletes will dive into three rounds of action in the Olympic pool for their 200m swim, 4km static bike and 1km treadmill set. 60 athletes will take to the morning heats, with no space for error to qualify for the evening finals. 10 men and 10 women will compete from 5.30pm at the supertri E World Triathlon Championships – it’s not for the faint hearted; this full-speed, high-octane race promises non-stop energy and excitement with unpredictable events across three stages. The athletes will Swim – Bike – Run // Run – Bike – Swim // Swim – Bike – Run, with a pursuit start in stage 3 (the finish line ranking from stage 1 and 2 will determine the order athletes start stage 3).
The career-defining Men’s and Women’s Esports Triathlon World Champion titles will be crowned in front of a packed crowd at the Olympic Pool. Previous winners include Great Britain’s Alex Yee and Beth Potter with Australia’s Sophie Linn and South Africa’s Henri Schoeman the 2023 victors.
