Leading sports nutrition brand Nutrition X are proud to announce that they have become part of the Informed-Sport programme. This provides assurance that Nutrition X products have been tested for substances on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of banned substances and are safer for athletes to use.
Nutrition X have always committed to a stringent testing process, and under the Informed-Sport programme will continue to test every batch of product for banned substances prohibited by WADA. All products will undergo rigorous testing at LGC’s ISO 17025 accredited anti-doping laboratory in Fordham, Cambridgeshire, to provide the highest level of assurance.
Nutrition X are recognised for their work with leading nutritionists and sports scientists, whose research and development has allowed them to remove the guess work and produce products that are scientifically proven to deliver exceptional results. The product portfolio comprises of products designed to aid energy, recovery and muscle gain. By becoming part of the Informed-Sport programme, the Nutrition X products aimed at elite athletes, amateur sports people and casual gym users alike, will now carry assurance on testing.
Seven products from Nutrition X’s range are listed on the programme, with three new products due to achieve certification in the near future. Once the full product range is listed, Nutrition X will be one of only five brands on the Informed-Sport programme to have their full range certified, establishing an exceptional level of quality assurance across the brand.
Head Nutritionist at Nutrition X, Professor Don MacLaren tells us the importance of becoming Informed-Sport approved; “From the outset, an important feature for Nutrition X products was to insist that they were independently drug tested. This we have undertaken assiduously from the start. The fact that our products now have the Informed Sport stamp of approval is a further enhancement of our insistence on quality of the products, and the fact that there will be no likelihood of cross-contamination. This is a safeguard for all our clients, and in particular those athletes who are likely to be drug tested”
Nutrition X Managing Director James Markey said of the announcement; “I am incredibly proud to announce that Nutrition X is now a recognised brand on the Informed-Sport programme. We work with a large number of elite athletes and professional clubs who will recognise this accreditation and be able to put their complete faith in our products. Testing is not only important for the professional athlete, it’s absolutely crucial for anyone taking sports supplements and we are very pleased that now all athletes can be assured that the Nutrition X products are banned substance tested.”
Informed-Sport Director of Business Development Terence O’Rorke said of Nutrition X joining the programme; “Nutrition X has been testing batches with LGC for some time and we are delighted they have now registered seven products on to the Informed-Sport programme, with more due to gain registration in the future. Informed-Sport is the most rigorous testing mark available for the sports nutrition industry and is recognised by the sports and anti-doping community worldwide. It shows that products have been tested for substances prohibited in sport and that they carry a high level of quality assurance. All consumers of sports nutrition products should look out for the Informed-Sport mark.”
